hi folks..today is Friday le! maybe Saturday..haha..anw today was a............i dunno how to describe today..
good thing was im working same shift with Ethel :> im so happy luhh! lemme tell ya..it's really an honor to know Ethel..cos everyone was like "u know Ethel ar?...how u get to know her one?..." etc..lol! i can see tad dey were all envious of me in such good terms wid Ethel..hahah!!
finally returned her stethoscope..wa that was like since i got into nursing..till now!! such a long time!! lol! tot can take some picts wid her today wid our uniforms..but she said she look so shag so postponed to nxt time wen we come out..most prob either CNY or b4 she leave for Sydney..hah! hmm..wana do a farewell card for her..gotta buy some more materials! :))

apart from de good part which was wid Ethel..
it was de fers time i see it wid my own eyes..my patient kicked de bucket in front of me..i can quite control myslf well..de tearing part of cos..as a healthcare profession u haf to be mentally strong and so called heartless..esp when encountering this kinda 'experience'..although this was my fers time encountering one IN FRONT of me..i think i did well..a little shld be fine as a fers-timer..tad J.X gave mi tissue when her whole head was like a big red tomato hah..she's trying to make it as if she's not de only one crying isit..ha..
it was really sad to see someone pass away in front of ur very own eyes..slowly he just fade away..and all u can see is a straight line..de heart beat..den when u inform de family members..u will see them so helpless and depressed..then all the sorrows and grieving..my heart ached again and felt like weeping..to hide all these unacceptable emotions i just looked away..avoiding is de only way left for me..
wanted to do last office (a procedure where we will clean up de body, tidy up, wear their own clothings and wrap it up wid a white cloth..we call it Kimono..) tads de last thing i can do for my patient..also i haven done it before as cases like this is hard to come by..but in de end i dint get to do it personally..i was in de middle of my dinner when i received a call from Ethel telling mi tad dey haf to start already..i just finish up quickly and rush over..hais..

WASHINGTON (AFP) - - A female Chinese graduate student was decapitated by a fellow student in a campus cafe at Virginia Tech, the scene of the worst school shooting in US history in 2007, police said.
At approximately 7:00 pm Wednesday (0000 GMT Thursday), Yang Xin, a 22-year-old graduate student from Beijing, was killed at an Au Bon Pain cafe on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, Virginia, university officials said.
They added that emergency contact records suggest that Yang and the student who murdered her, Zhu Haiyang from Ningbo, China, knew each other. According to officials, witnesses said Zhu, 25, attacked Yang with a knife.
"There were seven witnesses in the cafe. There had been no argument, no shouting" when the young woman was attacked, said Virginia Tech spokesman Mark Owczarski, confirming that Yang had been decapitated.
The Collegiate Times, the university's newspaper, said police received a 911 emergency call minutes after the assault and the officer who arrived at the scene found Yang's head had been cut off. The murder weapon, a large kitchen knife, was found at the scene.
In a copy of a police affidavit published by the Collegiate Times, the officer said that when she arrived at the scene she found Zhu holding Yang's head in his hand.
"This is horrible and tragic. Especially when we know that Virginia Tech has got its share of hardship and horror," Owczarski said.
In April 2007, Cho Seung-Hui, a 23-year-old Virginia Tech student born in South Korea, shot 32 fellow classmates and teachers to death before killing himself.
Zhu was charged with first-degree murder and was being held at a county jail. He had not had a record with university or local police, the school indicated.
Yang had arrived at Virginia Tech in early January to begin studies in accounting. Zhu was a PhD graduate student in agriculture and applied economics.
