hello! today had a fun day at NYP open-hse :) of cos im not there to tour ard..although im being recognised as sec sch student and were given goodie bags and all de chap-pa-langs!

haha saw these weird pple hanging ard sch so asked dem to stop while i took a foto of them..on de left is from a DS game called 'Phoenix Wright'..de lawyer game im playing.. i did mentioned in de past posts..and on de right is some Naruto character luhh..lame chop!
alrite my mission for today in sch is to be stationed in de Operating Theatre in our health science blk and brief de students wad we will learn in yr 3 as a student nurse and then out in de clinicals playing ur role in de real setting :] in de theatre there are lots of surgeons and nurses..and today i acted as the surgeon :> cool!
im on de right..Regina is on de left..acting as a scrub nurse..assisting me :) ok i've to say..as a nurse..our role in de OT is NOT solely assisting de surgeon..it's assisting in de whole surgery procedure..and assisting de surgeon is just part of wad we shld do..yepp..we work HAND-IN HAND! not UNDER them..duhh! we play an important role too..dun underestimate us! haha! and there are lot of types of nurses acting in de OT..scrub nurse..anaesthetic nurse..circulating nurse etc..doing diff roles during de operation :))
perhaps my acting was too real..some of de students thought that in NYP there is a course where we train students to become surgeons LOL! cos they asked mi wads de diff btw NYP and NUS's medical studies..dots..im like so blur luhh..then i realised they got de rong concept..then told them im just ACTING to be de surgeon to let dem haf a clearer picture of wad it's like in de real operating theatre..in actual fact im only a STUDENT NURSE! hahahahaa!!
questions were asked tads for sure..and of cos we ans-ed wid confident! haha at least i do..dunno oso anyhow bomb..just action only! haha no la i know my stuff well ok!
alrite we took a few picts when we've free time..we were kinda busy lor..one grp by one grp..come n go come n go..continuously..dun even haf time to drink water for hrs since we started..all dried up! ya but i prefer to get myslf busy for this case..time pass damn fast unknowingly..haha!

just 4 of us together..actually is 6 de..but 2 MC..Wen Jing is one of dem..she kena chicken pox..poor thing..cant join in de fun..hope she gets well soon..
took some wid our nursing lab lecturer Ms Ho too..but she forgot to bluetooth us :<
oh and sometime during our presentation to the students..there were these 2 NYP photography club photographers came in too..and took photos of us in action..HAHA! cool..i told dem to take nicer pict of me..LOL!! later when changed back to my own clothings we saw dem outside Mac..and i waved to dem..obviously dey gave mi tad 'do we noe u??' face..forgetting im all wrapped up like a dumpling left only my 2 eyeballs! haha..i told dem "im de surgeon just now!!" lol dey laughed!

i know they all looked almost de same..maybe even look familiar rite? de one in ur pencil box..alrite if u get a closer look at each of dem it's diff..each of dem act differently..dun underestimate them too :> each of dem haf a diff purpose..and during yr 3 when we learn all these OT stuff..one of wad we shld do is to MEMORISE de names of ALL DE APPARATUS!!! siao! stab me!
aft our shift at 6pm we changed back to our own clothes..b4 tad..we removed de fers layer of gown..here's wad we wore inside..actually i wore my t-shirt inside this..not supposed to luhh by right..but de scrub clothings not very clean ar..everyone wore b4..lol..so now i look more proper..not like some fat mice..lol! i noe my hair sux! eh just took off de 'shower cap' ok! wad u expect?? hahah!!

it's Ethel's pretty face on de cover of de health science booklet :) she's so power-der-mahh luhh!! and also on pg 6 of de booklet if u haf..tads her face..(*p.s she dun look like this..there must be prob wid de cam or something..IM SURE!!) and her whole pg of speech..haha..ok 3/4 luhh..not bad already lor! only those top students can then appear up there ok! wa if u compare her awards and credits wid others on de nxt few pgs..u'll really haf nth to say..she won too many awards!!! let mi list dem out for u :>

young, pretty, super bright, super tall for a girl, super good complexion, super fair, speechless!! she's too good to have..whoever trys to get close to her better haf some substance too ahaha! she just graduated and now working at SGH as staff nurse..will be leaving soon for her degree in Sydney..eh not all can haf de chance to go there too..only smarties :) even tougher than getting into local Uni(s).. in Sydney de Nursing Deg only nidda study for 1 yr :)) short and sweet..haha..her future is too bright luhh..way to go Ethel! :))
i wish to be like her :>
